About Murimäe
Murimäe is a small, family‑run winery tucked into the rolling hills of South Estonia. We plant, craft and pour authentic Estonian wines—from cool‑climate grapes to local fruits—right where they grow. On most days you’ll meet our winemaker Janika, the family, and our mischievous resident dogs (“the Muris”), who all make this place feel like home.
What we do
Handcrafted wines, naturally. We make our wines by hand and as naturally as possible, producing about 5,000–6,000 liters each year. Around 10–15% comes from grapes; the rest celebrates Estonian ingredients like sea buckthorn, aronia, cherry, rhubarb and gooseberry.
A vineyard in the north. Our first vines were planted in 2015. Today we tend terraces with ~800 vines and a polytunnel with ~600 vines, alongside an orchard of apples and rows of berry bushes.
From vine to glass. Sun‑facing slopes, a crisp northern climate and careful cellar work give our wines their pure, expressive character.
